Digital Tools to Fight Repression in Russia

We will explain how OVD-Info engages thousands of people in human rights advocacy when activism is dangerous. We’ll show how our digital tools are helping political prisoners and overcoming repression in Russia. We will share how we organize successful public campaigns in Russia using digital tools. This ranges from demanding the return of Alexey Navalny’s body to his family to ensuring a minimum of 5 letters are sent to every political prisoner in Russia. You will see how the modern fight against repression looks in action.

We will also discuss the current working context: what repression looks like in Russia, who the political prisoners are, and their numbers.

The presentation and discussion will be held in English.
